And yet, while numbers may seem colder, they also help us grasp the true scale of being present \u2014 of bringing hope to those who face the hardest circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the third quarter of 2025, Factor-H, in partnership with H\u00e1bitat Luz, expanded its impact in the communities of San Luis and Barranquitas, reaching a total of 2,045 people, including individuals with Huntington\u2019s disease (HD), their families, and children from the &#8220;Abrazos&#8221; Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organization\u2019s work in Venezuela has focused on healthcare, support for adolescents and young people, and assistance for caregivers and mothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Health and Specialized Care<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the course of this quarter, two large-scale medical missions were carried out with the participation of 22 health professionals and more than 60 volunteers. Services included neurology, pediatrics, dentistry, psychology, and nutrition consultations, as well as vaccination campaigns and the distribution of medicines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>38 people with HD were treated in Barranquitas, many of them bedridden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A total of more than 6,500 medicines<strong> and nutritional supplements<\/strong> were donated, in addition to medical tests and diapers for dependent patients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Caregivers Program in Barranquitas provided weekly follow-up to 14 patients, supported by a developing team that includes a local physician.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/factor-h.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Actividad-Medica-2025-07-19-at-23.21.36-1024x640.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11347\" srcset=\"https:\/\/factor-h.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Actividad-Medica-2025-07-19-at-23.21.36-1024x640.png 1024w, https:\/\/factor-h.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Actividad-Medica-2025-07-19-at-23.21.36-300x188.png 300w, https:\/\/factor-h.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Actividad-Medica-2025-07-19-at-23.21.36-768x480.png 768w, https:\/\/factor-h.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Actividad-Medica-2025-07-19-at-23.21.36-18x12.png 18w, https:\/\/factor-h.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Actividad-Medica-2025-07-19-at-23.21.36.png 1392w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, <strong>55 at-risk children<\/strong> fueron atendidos a trav\u00e9s del programa comunitario en Barranquitas<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Community Development and Nutrition<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Humanitarian aid reached 423 families, through the delivery of food and hygiene supplies, benefiting more than 2,000 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The community dining room in San Luis, in partnership with the Centro de Restauraci\u00f3n Church and ACNA-CESAP, served meals to 100 people at risk, including children, nursing mothers, and elderly adults with HD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Youth and Education<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Abrazos Program supported 385 children aged 3 to 12, providing food, school supplies, and guidance.<br>Additionally, 22 teenagers participated in the Learning Center, where they received educational materials and more than a hundred full meals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recreation, sports, art, and vocational training programs were also promoted \u2014 with special celebrations such as Children\u2019s Day, and workshops in robotics and ballet, offering young people spaces of hope and motivation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Network of Collaboration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Marina Gonz\u00e1lez Kaufman, president of H\u00e1bitat, highlighted that \u201cnone of this would be possible without the cooperation of 13 local institutions, including C\u00e1ritas Barranquitas, the Venezuelan-American Center of Zulia (CEVAZ), the Venezuelan Society of Neurology \u2013 Zulia Chapter, and the Faculty of Dentistry at LUZ.
