Your privacy is critically important to us. At Factor-H we have a few fundamental principles:

Our Privacy Policy (“Policy”) sets forth our online information procedures, including the data we collect, how it is used and stored as well as the choices you have about the information you chose to provide. This Policy applies to all information received by Factor-H and any electronic, written or oral communications you share with us. Factor-H has updated this Policy to comply with the new requirements set forth for residents of the European Union in the General Data Protection Regulation effective May 25, 2018. 

By visiting our website, you consent to our using any information that you choose to provide us or that we collect in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Policy. Like most website operators, Factor-H collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Factor-H’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Factor-H’s visitors use our website. 

Factor-H collects information directly submitted to us through our website as well as through other digital interfaces and platforms, such as email, social media and customer relationship management (CRM).  The amount and type of information that Factor-H gathers depends on the nature of the interaction between you and us. Those who engage in transactions with Factor-H are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions, such as donations. In each case, Factor-H collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s requested interaction with Factor-H. • Transactional data: including credit card information from secure donations. If a donation is made in honor or in memory of someone and you request that an acknowledgement be sent to another individual, we will use the name and address of that individual for acknowledgement purposes only.

Factor-H does not sell, rent, give-away or otherwise share your information with parties outside of Factor-H or authorized agents. Only Factor-H staff and our authorized agents have access to personally identifiable information provided by visitors who engage with us. 

How We Use the Information Gathered

We collect information to engage with our community and provide visitors with information concerning our programs, projects, and planned activities. We collect financial information to accept donations and provide appropriate tax-deductible receipts. We also collect information for internal purposes such as to better understand our supporter network and other analytical purposes.

From time to time we analyze our website logs in order to improve the experience of visiting our site. We use an external service to provide real-time reporting to us and our authorized agents of browser accesses to our site. This reporting includes page views, unique views, unique visitors, repeat visitors, and frequency of visits. 

Aggregated Statistics

Factor-H may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its website and social media pages. For instance, Factor-H may monitor the most popular posts and may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Factor-H does not disclose personally-identifying information.

Factor-H’s site contains links to other websites, which may or may not have their own privacy policy. When visitors choose to click on one of those links and access another website, please note Factor-H has no responsibility for it.

Although most changes are likely to be minor, Factor-H may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in Factor-H’s sole discretion and without notice. Factor-H encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Any modifications are effective immediately upon posting.
