Donations of school supplies in Colombia – Kids program

By Arnel Arroyo Díaz

We celebrate another milestone in our mission to support the most vulnerable HD communities!

We are proud to share that we have once again delivered school kits to families afflicted with Huntington’s disease in more than 10 municipalities on the Colombian Caribbean coast.

This effort has benefited more than 145 children and adolescents from 32 family groups. Thanks to your support, we have been able to deliver more than 1220 notebooks and more than 5000 school supplies. In addition, we have provided partial aid for the purchase of school uniforms and footwear to several children and adolescents who are beneficiaries of the Abrazos project. The program started in 2013 and has expanded to cover every child of affected families in the Colombian Caribbean region and in Venezuela. With more than 700 at-risk children under 12-years of age included, the program has a very tangible effect on the communities we serve.

This work goes beyond the delivery of educational materials. It is a commitment to equal opportunities and access to education for all. By providing these resources, we are helping to close the inequality gap and ensure a brighter future for these young people from HD families.

Thank you to all those who make this project possible and accompany us on this path of social transformation. Let’s continue to work together to build a world where every child has the tools they need to achieve their dreams.

Together, we are agents of change!
